Illinois Botox Injection & Treatment

What is Botox?

Botulinum toxin type A and type B are derived from a bacteria and are purified substances that block muscular nerve signals. Injecting very tiny amounts of Botox® into face muscles blocks the muscle’s impulse which then temporarily makes the muscle weak and eliminates the unwanted lines and wrinkles that can begin to appear due to the aging process. Botox® in Illinois is best used for the area and wrinkles between the eyebrows, but it may also be effectively used for other facial areas. Wrinkles in the facial area may be caused when a muscle tightens. The substance is injected through the skin into the muscle which keeps the muscle from tightening and since the it can not tighten the wrinkle no longer appears as prominently. Only the treated muscle can't move.

What is a Botox Party?

Events known as Botox® parties are a key element of Botox® marketing in much of the US. These "parties" are thought to be a convenient way of providing Botox treatment more efficiently and affordably, and may help reduce the anxiety that normally goes along with getting Botox® the first time. A group of people will mingle in a common area and one by one they are brought into a private room for a short period of time where they will receive a botox injection from a licensed practitioner after paying a small fee and signing some forms. Doctors are finding that Illinois Botox® parties may allow them to make the procedure more affordable to their patients due to the larger number of patients.
